Imran Khan Issues Swipe Cards to Wedding Invitees

Imran Khan is taking extra care to ensure security at his wedding venue. According to the latest reports in the media, Imran Khan has made it a point to attach swipe cards with the invitation cards for the mehndi ceremony to be held at the Karjat farmhouse of his fiancé Avantika Malik. A statement issued by representatives of the actor says that every guest at the ceremony will have to carry the swipe cards with them if they have to be part of the celebrations!

The media reports suggest that Imran Khan wants no uncalled for incident to occur at his wedding venue and no gatecrasher to be part of the festivities. It is for this purpose that the swipe card has been provided with each invite that has been sent out to several Bollywood individuals and guests. The mehndi ceremony which is an integral part of every Hindu marriage will be held on the 8th of January.
The Khan and the Malik residence is expectedly busy with preparations for the big day in the lives of the couple who have been seeing each other for eight years now. And the groom is probably the happiest of them all! Imran Khan is in the mood of celebrations and reports claim that he has invited all his leading ladies to a pre wedding party arranged at his home in Mumbai. From Genelia D’Souza, his first co-star, to Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor who are part of his latest projects, these Bollywood beauties will take time out to celebrate with the cute Imran Khan.

Celina Jaitley engaged

 Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley has been engaged to Dubai-based hotelier Peter Haag. The actress accepted being in relationship with Peter and her engagement.

"I have known Peter for the last couple of years. We met through my family and exchanged numbers but we started dating each other 10 months ago. I was superstitious about my relationship and that's why I chose not to talk about it", Celina quips.

She adds, "Except our families, nobody knew we were seeing each other.

Yes we are in a committed relationship but we wanted to keep it under wraps as it's personal and everything in my life is not up for display."

The duo was engaged at Celina’s house in Versova, Mumbai recently, in the presence of her parents, her best friend from Kolkata and her maternal uncle.

"We exchanged rings and got engaged this year in front of my parents, during the auspicious time of Durga Puja.

Marriage is definitely on the cards but at the moment, Celina is busy with her assignments.

Aamir refuses to appear with Salman

God knows how but somehow Karan Johar has got Salman Khan’s approval to appear on his chat show, ‘Koffee With Karan’. Karan is a close buddy of Shahrukh Khan and getting Salman’s nod is a great achievement for Karan.  Karan wanted Salman to take part on the show with Aamir but he refused.

Confirming the news a source said, "Salman Khan has given his consent to appear on the show. This is something that he has never done in the past. Karan and Salman have become good friends now. In fact, Karan was spotted on several occasions at Salman`s residence Galaxy Apartments. Salman also put up a picture on his Twitter account that has him, Karan and model Hrishant Goswami."

When both refused to appear together, Karan approached Aamir to come with his wife Kiran and he agreed. When the perfectionist gave his nod, Salman also gave his consent to chat all alone with Karan.

Salman Khan is next, to sip on Koffee With Karan…

Salman Khan has finally agreed to show up on the chat show Koffee With Karan. This is going to be the first time that Salman would appear on the show.
According to a source, “Salman Khan has given his consent to appear on the show. This is something that he has never done in the past. Karan and Salman have become good friends now. In fact, Karan was spotted on several occasions at Salman’s residence Galaxy Apartments. Salman also put up a picture on his Twitter account that has him, Karan and model Hrishant Goswami.”

If buzz is to be believed, Karan wanted Aamir and Salman to appear on his show together. He even tried but failed.
Last Sunday, it was Shahrukh who appeared on the chat show. And going by his talks and confessions, it really looks like this new year, the old foes ( SRK and Sallu) will become best buddies.
We wonder if Karan will play an integral role in getting them back together or not.

SRK is very passionate about his dream project Ra.One

Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming superhero film Ra.One is extra special to him. He is putting in all the passion in this sci-fi extravaganza.
Arjun Rampal, who will also be seen in the film as SRK’s foe says,
“Shah Rukh is leaving no stone unturned for ‘Ra.One’. I have worked with Shah Rukh before and seen his commitment and passion. However, the kind that I am seeing in Ra.One is unparalleled. The way he is going all out to make this film extra special is commendable. His passion is just so contagious,”.
Rampal had to train strenuously for his role for about three-and-a-half months.
“Yes, it was physically a very demanding part. There was a certain level of fitness which was required on my part to make this character look extremely believable. Anubhav and Shah Rukh were clear that I had to stand out to make the overall film look great,” said Rampal.
The first look of Ra.One has got positive response so far. The film will most likely release by Diwali 2011..

Tees Maar Khan- A Hit or a Flop??? BO reports…

Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar starrer film Tees Maar Khan had a huge opening and collected Rs 50 crore from its first week. It was one of the most hyped films of 2010. But despite all hoopla and humdrum, it fell flat thrashing all expectations in the second weekend.
The second week saw a collection of just Rs 7.25 crore approx. As per reports, the drop from first weekend was around 80%. The film’s ten-day total collection is approximately Rs 56.50 crore.
The Christmas season, a time when movie buffs are so used to watching brilliant films of Aamir Khan such as Taare Zameen Par and 3 Idiots, Farah Khan has served us a film that is so unfunny and annoying.
Most likely, the flim will see its end in its second week making a collection of around Rs 60 crore approx. The movie is not a flop because of its staggering opening collection. With its second weekend collection Tees Maar Khan is the sixth biggest grosser of 2010-11, but still the movie performed below expectations. Its business is disappointing for its makers.

Imran’s wedding invitation cards are in the form of swipe cards…

Bollywood’s young superstar Imran Khan is all set to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Avantika Malik Monday and is sending out invites in the form of swipe cards to keep gatecrashers out of the venue.
Along with the wedding card to the selected list of invitees, Imran, 27, has attached swipe cards.
“Along with the invitation cards, the guests are also given a swipe card, which is necessary to access the venue,” said a source close to the actor.
The wedding functions are starting Saturday (Jan 8 ) and will be followed by a registered marriage Jan 10. After the marriage the newly-weds, along with their guests, will head to Avantika’s farmhouse in Karjat for celebrations.
As expected, both households are buzzing with activities preceding the marriage.

“There is so much happening at home. Lot of activities – rehearsals for the sangeet functions and preparations for the wedding,” said Kiran Rao, who is Imran’s uncle Aamir Khan’s wife.

Director Nikhil Advani talks about Patiala House….

Patiala House will mark the return of Director Nikhil Advani. The Flick stars Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma.
The story is about a Punjabi guy in Southall, London. He dreams of playing cricket for England, but has to face up to his anti-English, conservative and authoritarian Sikh dad Gurtej Kahlon (Rishi Kapoor). Akshay’s character is caught in the dilemma of either pursuing his dream or toe his dad’s line.

“The essence of Patiala House is pursuing your dream when life gives you a second chance. In this pursuit, Akshay happens to be a cricketer, but he could been a musician or a poet. It can be your story or mine. Patiala House is the story of the Kahlon family, and their travails,” Advani is quoted as saying about the film.
The movie also sees Akshay with his real mom-in-law Dimple Kapadia. She plays his mother.
The movie will release on February 11.

Ra.One First Look….

Catch the first look of Shahrukh Khan’s much-awaited film Ra.One. The superstar will be playing a superhero.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Ra. one is produced under Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. According to Khan, “Ra.One” means “Random Access – Version 1.0. The flick also has Arjun Rampal essaying the role of SRK’s arch foe and Kareena Kapoor who plays SRK’s love interest.
The film has “breathtaking” stunts from Shahrukh Khan. A special body suit was designed for SRK’s character.
SRK hopes to create the sci-fi history in Indian cinema. The film also has a song by Akon.
The film will most likely release by Diwali 2011.
